The Messages app introduced on Mac has made it easy for the users to send messages on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad comes under iMessage protocol from their computers. The use of iMessage is very much convenient, but sometimes it happens that the app may be stopped working for a while or sometimes it may be timed out while sending messages. Here, is the guideline dealing with the problems when iMessage is not working the ways to fix it:-

       First of all, you need to make sure the Mac you are using has an internet connection, and the connection is working correctly. In case, it is not working correctly then reboot your Mac.

       You can restart your Mac as it often solves the issues related with the iMessage App and to that go to the Apple Menu and click on the option of "Restart".

       It is essential to have an Apple ID to run the iMessage and sign in to the same account the Mac you have used for iCloud. You can follow simple steps to make sure that the Apple ID of your Mac has configured appropriately. First of all, Go to the Apple Menu and then click on "System preferences".

       After then, you can go through the settings of "iCloud" and make sure that the Mac is using the proper Apple ID.

       If there is any connection issue, then re-enabling and disabling the iMessage can resolve your problems too. For that, you have to go the "Messages" option and then while pulling down the menu "Messages" select preferences.

       Now, while visiting the tab " iMessage", you should make sure that the Apple ID of the Mac is appropriately set and then click on " Enable this account".

Signing  In & Signing Out of iMessage

If iMessage app is not working correctly on the Mac, then you should sign in first into the app and then sign out from the app quickly as the step can also fix the issues. Here, is steps to follow:-

       First of all, you need to visit the app " Messages" on the Mac and then open it.

       After then, while pulling down the menu " Messages", select preferences and then visit the tab "iMessage". Further, select " Sign Out" and click on it and then came out from the messages and relaunch the app.

Some other remedies to fix the issues could be tried by enabling the Message Forwarding on iPhone as it will help you to forward the messages on different devices. You should also be aware whether iMessage is working correctly or not on iPhone or iPad. If the app is not working correctly, then you can take proper steps to make it working correctly. Sometimes, it happens that iMessage app is working correctly but often show errors like "Not Sent" even when the message is delivered successfully. You can resolve the issue by checking the settings of iMessage and iCloud and also you should click on "Ignore" as it will help you to get rid of the problem. You can go through the settings and check it properly if the iMessage app. is not syncing with Mac and other devices.
