How to Sync Your Calendar With Alexa
The initial steps to add the Google, Microsoft, or Apple calendar to your Alexa are always the same:
- Install the Amazon Alexa app on your device.
- Tap the “Menu” icon on the upper-left corner.
- Open “Settings,” then “Calendar & Email.”
- Now, select “Add Account.”

- Select “Google.”
- Alexa will ask for permission to access your email and calendar; toggle each of these sliders to the “On” position.

Your Google Calendar will be added successfully to Alexa.
Connecting Microsoft’s Outlook Calendar
Follow the instructions below, to add Microsoft’s Calendar to your Alexa account:
- Open “Microsoft.”
- Alexa will ask for your permission to access your email and calendar; toggle both the “Permissions” sliders to the “On” position.
- Fill in the login details for your Microsoft account, then tap “Next.”
- You will now be taken to the permission requests if you agree to these, select “Accept.”
Your account will be successfully added to your Amazon Alexa account.
Sync Apple Calendar and Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Follow the steps below, to add Apple’s Calendar to Amazon Alexa:
- Tap “Apple -> Next” in the Amazon Alexa application.
- You will be asked to set up two-factor authentication. If you want this additional layer of security, Select “Next.”
- Open your iPhone’s “Settings” application.
- Tap on your name and select “Password & Security.”
- Enter your iCloud account password, when prompted.
- Now, select “Turn On Two-Factor Authentication,” then head over to the Apple ID webpage.
- Here, enter your Apple ID username and password.
- You will receive a notification to your iOS device, tap “Allow” if you agree to the information.
- You will now receive a verification code on your iOS device; use this code into your web browser.
- Find “Security” and click “Generate password” on this webpage.
- You will now be asked to create an app-specific password to connect your Alexa app to the Apple Calendar. Fill in the password and then click “Create.” Do not forget this password.
- Open your Alexa mobile app, and select “Add Apple Calendar.”
- A screen will open up asking your Apple ID. Enter the ID.
- Now, enter the app-specific password that you have created.
- Tap “Sign In.”
Your Apple Calendar will now be successfully connected to your Alexa account.
Control your schedule from your Alexa-enabled device
